AI writing isn’t switched on for customers yet. You write and edit every word yourself, and nothing on your page changes without you. AI drafting from your confirmed facts switches on once its quality evaluation passes.
Who can do this
- Everyone who can edit a funnel writes and edits its copy by hand: owners, admins and members, on FunnelCreative Commercial, Pro, or a funnel installed from a Campaign Vault pack.
- AI writing isn’t switched on yet: you write and edit the copy yourself.
- Editing by hand never uses AI units.
The Write with AI panel
On the Page design tab, the Write with AI panel sits under the introduction, above Funnel basics.
Today the panel says “AI writing isn’t switched on yet — edit the copy yourself”. It has no buttons. Nothing on your page is written or changed by AI.
On a draft saved only in this browser, the panel says AI writing works on funnels saved to your workspace.
Write your copy by hand
You can change every word on your page yourself, whatever the state of AI writing.
- On Page design, fill in Funnel basics: Headline, Introduction and Button text are the first things visitors read.
- Open each section in Sections and replace the sample copy with your own words.
- Check the preview as you go, on desktop and on phone.
- Look at Before you can publish under Sections and fix anything it lists.
See Edit your page for every control.
Tips for copy that passes the honesty checks
FunnelCreative checks your page before it publishes. These habits keep you clear of the checks and make the page more convincing:
- One promise. Your page leads to one next step: the enquiry. Say what happens after someone sends the form, in the same words as your promised next step. See What your funnel collects.
- Stick to what you can back up. Use the facts you confirmed on Business facts. Leave out results, numbers, ratings, awards or credentials you can’t prove.
- No made-up proof. Don’t invent testimonials, reviews, client quotes or ratings.
- No false urgency. Only mention a deadline if it is real.
- Buttons ask for the enquiry. Button text such as “Register your interest”, “Join the waitlist” or “Request a quote” works. Words that suggest buying, booking or getting access straight away stop the page from publishing.
- Don’t say anything has already happened. Your page never takes money, books a time or sends anything, so its copy can’t say it did.
- Plain text only. Fields don’t accept code, links or formatting.
See Honesty checks: why some words stop a page from publishing for the full list and examples.
Tips for specific copy
- Name who the page is for, in their words: “first-time founders with a side project”, not “everyone”.
- Say what they get from the enquiry: a reply, a quote, a place on the waitlist.
- If your funnel has a Questions section (Campaign Vault packs do), answer the questions people ask you most there.
- Keep each benefit to one idea, with a short title and one or two sentences.
If you use your own AI assistant to help draft words, see Using FunnelCreative with your AI assistant. Check everything it gives you against your facts before you paste it in.
AI units
My funnels shows a tile called AI units this month. AI units are used only by AI writing, so the tile only matters once AI writing is switched on. Writing and editing by hand never uses them.
Keep my wording
Each section has a Keep my wording tick box. It tells AI writing to leave that section exactly as it is. Until AI writing is switched on, it has one effect: on a funnel installed from a Campaign Vault pack, applying a pack update leaves a ticked section exactly as it is. See Edit your page.
Your leads and AI
Your leads are never sent to AI providers. The people who fill in your form, and what they send, stay in your workspace. See Privacy and your leads.
Limits
- Hand editing: every field of every section, within each field’s length limit. See Edit your page.
If something goes wrong
- A page won’t publish because of its words: see Honesty checks.
- Other problems: see Troubleshooting.
