Confirm your business facts

Answer three questions on the Business facts tab, add optional assets and claims, and confirm each one so your funnel can go to launch review.

Who can do this

Owners, admins and members of the workspace, on any funnel they can edit. It works on browser drafts too, where the facts are saved in this browser. Viewers can read the facts but can’t change them.

Before you start

Have your brief in mind: who your offer is for, what it is, and what should happen after someone fills in your form. For why facts matter, see Business facts, confirmation and placeholders.

Open the facts

In the editor, do one of these:

  • Click Confirm your facts, the main button at the top of the editor.
  • Click the Business facts tab. Until all three required facts are confirmed, the tab shows a small number: how many are left.

The tab is headed Confirm your facts. It shows how far you are, for example “1 of 3 required facts confirmed”, and where the facts are saved:

  • They’re saved with this funnel in your workspace.
  • They’re saved with this browser draft.

Answer the three questions

FunnelCreative asks one question at a time. The questions still to come say Waiting for the question above.

  1. Who is this for? Describe the people you want to reach, in your own words. For example: “first-time founders with a side project”. Then click the confirm button, Confirm <fact>, which reads Confirm audience here.
  2. What are you offering? Write one or two sentences a visitor would recognise. Click Confirm offer.
  3. What happens after someone fills in the form? Choose one option (see below). Click Confirm promised next step.

The confirm button stays greyed out while the answer is empty.

If a suggestion is already filled in, it shows where it came from: Taken from your brief. Check it reads right. or Suggested for this recipe. Change it if it doesn’t fit. Read it and change anything that isn’t right before you confirm. A suggestion counts only once you confirm it.

Choose the promised next step

Your thank-you page will say exactly what you choose here, word for word. As the question says, It never promises a payment, booking or email.

Each option shows a short label and the full statement underneath. The options depend on your recipe:

  • Appointment requests, Quote requests, Consultation enquiries, Membership enquiries and Table enquiries offer Request received (a quote request) or Enquiry received.

For what visitors see after they send the form, see What your funnel collects.

Add assets and claims (optional)

Below the questions, open Add assets and claims, marked Optional.

  1. Under What do you already have?, list things you can use, such as a logo, photos, a guide or a video. This is a written list only. It doesn’t upload files. To add images, see Add images and files.
  2. Under Which results or credentials can you back up?, list only what you can prove. Leave it empty rather than guess.
  3. Click the save button under each box, Save <fact> (Save assets or Save claims). A tick and Confirmed appear once it is saved.

To remove one, empty its box. The button then reads Clear <fact> (Clear assets or Clear claims). Click it.

Change a confirmed fact

  1. Next to a confirmed fact, click Change.
  2. Edit the answer, or pick a different option.
  3. Click its confirm button again, or click Cancel to keep what you had.

What happens next

  • Each confirm is saved with the funnel, like any other edit. On a workspace funnel it becomes a new numbered version in Version history. Until you leave the editor, you can undo it with Undo on the Page design tab, where the note reads “Last change: Business facts”.
  • Confirming the promised next step sets the statement on your thank-you page.
  • Confirming your audience and offer doesn’t rewrite your page. Change the copy yourself on the Page design tab.
  • When all three required facts are confirmed, the progress line adds ready for launch review, and the top button changes to Review setup. Click it to open Launch setup.

Limits

  • Audience: up to 400 characters.
  • Offer: up to 600 characters.
  • Assets: up to 600 characters.
  • Claims: up to 800 characters.
  • Each box stops taking text at its limit.
  • The promised next step is a fixed choice. You can’t write your own statement.
  • You can edit your page copy before your facts are confirmed. You can’t publish until all three required facts are confirmed.

Viewers

A viewer sees the tab headed Business facts. with the line The facts this funnel’s copy is built on. You can view them but not change them. Each fact shows its confirmed value, or Not confirmed yet.

Funnels installed from Campaign Vault

A funnel installed from a Campaign Vault pack has a different facts step: you fill in the pack’s labelled blanks instead of these questions. See Fill in the blanks.

If something goes wrong

  • The publish button stays greyed out: Launch setup shows Still needed: followed by the facts that aren’t confirmed. Click Confirm facts.
  • A suggestion is wrong: it is only a suggestion. Replace it before you confirm.
  • More help: see Troubleshooting.
