Getting started: from your purchase to your first enquiry

Go from your JVZoo purchase to a published funnel page, then send yourself a test enquiry and see it arrive in your lead inbox.

This walkthrough takes you through every step once, in order. Each step links to a fuller guide if you want more detail.

AI writing isn’t switched on yet: you write and edit the copy yourself.

Who can do this

Anyone who bought FunnelCreative Commercial. Owners, admins and members of a workspace can do every step. A viewer can read funnels but can’t create, change or publish them.

Before you start

You need:

  • The email address you used when you bought FunnelCreative on JVZoo. Your access belongs to that address.
  • A plain description of what you offer and who it is for.
  • A few minutes to read the sample copy and replace it with your own words.

Step 1: Sign in with your purchase email

  1. After your purchase, look for an email with the subject Sign in to FunnelCreative to use your purchase. It is sent to the email address you used at JVZoo.
  2. Open it and click Sign in to FunnelCreative. The link works once and only for 15 minutes.
  3. A page asks “Continue to FunnelCreative?”. Because you didn’t ask for this link from the sign-in page, it also says This link wasn’t requested from this browser. The rest of the warning says that continuing signs this browser in to whichever account the link belongs to. That is expected for this first email: it was sent only to the address you bought with, so the account is yours. Click Sign in.
  4. The page shows Signed in as <email>. Click Continue.

Your purchase set up a FunnelCreative account for that email address, with a workspace called My workspace. There is no password.

FunnelCreative sends this email only when the purchase set up a new account. If you already had a FunnelCreative account with that address, you get no purchase email. Sign in from the sign-in page instead: the purchase is already on your workspace.

If the link has run out, go to the sign-in page, type the same email address under Email address and click Email me a sign-in link. Use the new link within 15 minutes. Signing in and out explains every sign-in screen.

Note: Sign-up is closed. Only an address that already has an account gets a sign-in link. If you type a different address from the one you bought with, the page looks the same but no email arrives.

Step 2: Create a funnel from a recipe that has a form

  1. In the sidebar, click Create a funnel (or the New funnel button). Lower down the sidebar, About this preview shows a short tip inside the app, and Help & guides opens these help pages in a new tab.
  2. Optional: describe your offer in the box labelled Describe your funnel, then click Find my starting point. This only highlights a matching recipe. It creates nothing.
  3. Click Browse all 10 recipes, then pick a recipe card. The card says Make it yours.

Choose a recipe that has a form, because only a form collects enquiries. These work well for a first funnel:

Your businessPick this recipe
Software, an app or a product launchWaitlist sign-ups
Ecommerce or a shopWaitlist sign-ups
Coaching or consultingConsultation enquiries
Courses and workshopsWebinar to course
Local or professional servicesQuote requests, Appointment requests, Consultation enquiries, Membership enquiries or Table enquiries

Limit: Three of the five recipes on the Create screen, Software trial to activation, Product offer with optional upsell and Application to discovery call, have no form in this release. A funnel made from them can’t be published or collect enquiries, and the editor can’t add a form. Use the recipes in the table above.

FunnelCreative opens your new funnel in the editor on the Page design tab. It starts with the recipe’s sample copy, a form and a set of email drafts. Create a funnel from your offer covers this screen in full.

Step 3: Confirm your three facts

  1. Click Confirm your facts at the top of the editor, or open the Business facts tab.
  2. Answer Who is this for? in your own words and confirm it.
  3. Answer What are you offering? in one or two sentences and confirm it.
  4. Under What happens after someone fills in the form?, choose the promise your thank-you page will make, then confirm it.

Each confirm button names its fact (Confirm <fact>): Confirm audience, Confirm offer and Confirm promised next step. When all three are done, the progress line reads ready for launch review and the editor’s top button changes to Review setup.

You can’t publish until all three facts are confirmed. Confirm your business facts explains each question and the choices.

Step 4: Make the page yours

  1. Go back to the Page design tab.
  2. Under Funnel basics, set Funnel name and Business name.
  3. Replace the sample Headline, Introduction and Button text with your own words. Change any other section in the outline the same way.
  4. Watch the preview on the right. It updates as you type.

Changes save by themselves. The heading shows Saved to your workspace when they are stored. There is no Save button. Edit your page covers sections, forms and images.

Note: The recipe’s sample copy describes a made-up business. Read every section and change anything that isn’t true for you before you publish.

Step 5: Edit the email drafts

Every recipe comes with follow-up email drafts, and they contain merge tokens such as {{first_name}}. FunnelCreative doesn’t fill these in, so a funnel can’t be published while any draft still contains one.

  1. Open the Email drafts tab.
  2. Open each draft in turn.
  3. In Subject and Email text, delete or replace every token in double curly braces, such as {{first_name}}. For example, change “Hi {{first_name}},” to “Hi there,”.
  4. Read the rest of the draft and change anything that doesn’t fit your business.

FunnelCreative doesn’t send email. When you want to use a draft, copy it into your own email tool. See Follow-up email drafts.

New recipe funnels start without a consent statement, and a form can’t go live without one.

  1. Open the Launch setup tab.
  2. Under Before you publish version N, find the item for the form. It says Has no consent statement. Visitors must be asked, with an unticked box, before they send their details.
  3. Click Add a consent statement.
  4. Read the suggested wording in Consent statement (shown beside an unticked box). It starts as “I agree to be contacted about my enquiry. My details are used only to reply to it.” Change it if you need to.
  5. Click Save statement.

On your live page, visitors must tick this box before they can send the form.

Step 7: Choose a web address and publish

  1. Still on Launch setup, go to Web address.
  2. In Choose the address visitors will use, keep the suggestion or type your own. Use lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens.
  3. Click Save address. You see Web address saved.
  4. Check the list of launch checks. Each remaining item has one button that takes you to the fix. When the list is clear, it says Ready to publish.
  5. Click Publish. The button also shows the number of the version you are about to publish, for example “Publish · version 4”.
  6. Read the dialog and click Publish version N.

When the server confirms, the status under What visitors see reads Live with the version number, and you see Open live page. Publish your funnel explains every launch check.

Step 8: Send a test enquiry and find it in Leads

  1. Click Open live page. Your page opens in a new tab at its FunnelCreative address.
  2. Fill in the form as a visitor would, tick the consent box and send it. If you send it within a few seconds of opening the page, you are asked to wait a moment and try again.
  3. The thank-you page states the promise you confirmed in step 3, word for word.
  4. Back in FunnelCreative, open the funnel’s Leads tab. Your test enquiry is at the top of the list.

You can also see enquiries from every funnel together: go to My funnels and choose All leads. See Your lead inbox and CSV export.

What happens next

Your funnel stays live when you close FunnelCreative. Editing the page afterwards changes nothing for visitors until you publish again. Each enquiry lands in Leads, where you can add notes, set a status and export a CSV file. Follow up with people from your own email tool.

Limits

  • Funnels collect enquiries only. They don’t take payments, book appointments, enrol students, start trials or send email.
  • Your page lives on a FunnelCreative web address.
  • For how many funnels can be live at once, see the Live funnels figure on your Plan card (Settings → Brand & presets → Plan).
  • The sign-in link works once, for 15 minutes.
